Dave and Sherry Meador invite you to visit the River Front Cabin in the Chestnut Valley of Cascade, Montana.
Come sit on the deck and look through the cottonwoods to the Missouri River as it flows gently by or cast a line to rising fish during the evening caddis hatch. Watch the eagles fly from their nest and perch on a distant limb keeping a watchful eye on the waterfowl below. Imagine yourself, fishing, floating, biking, hiking or just relaxing on the deck.
From here, you can enjoy all the benefits of fishing a blue ribbon trout stream without having to deal with the pressures of the more crowded stretches of the Upper Missouri. Dave, a Missouri River Orvis endorsed fly fishing guide for over ten years, can let you know what the fish are biting while you're there and who can guide you to the best spots.
Enjoy the peaceful surroundings while being only 10 minutes from Cascade, a small Montana town with grocery store, café, and bar. You're 30 minutes from Craig, the fly fishing center of the Missouri. In addition, you're only 30 minutes from Great Falls and an hour from Helena.
The River Front Cabin has rustic charm but still with modern conveniences - it can accommodate 4-6 comfortably with 2 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms.
The great room features a full kitchen and dining area and a comfortable sitting area around the wood stove. Outside, a wrap-around deck looks out on the river and an ample yard. There is a gas grill, a picnic table and chairs to lounge on. Further amenities include a satellite TV, washer/dryer and dishwasher.
We built a small “guest” cabin on the property that can be rented in addition to the River Front Cabin. The guest cabin provides private lodging for two to four additional guests with two double beds, private bathroom, gas stove and sitting porch.
NEW! We now have the Mid Cañon House available for rent (beginning June 2012) - Quick and easy access from Interstate 15, Dearborn exit. Two bedrooms with two twins each, one bath, full kitchen, dining/living room opening up to deck overlooking Missouri River. It’s next to the Mid-Canon boat access. A small island in front allows you to enjoy a nice little buffer from river traffic, and at the same time provides a semi-private fishing channel which is easy to wade and perfect for the evening hatch.

If you want to take advantage of the great fishing in other parts of Montana, Dave guides on the Smith, Blackfoot, Dearborn and Sun Rivers. If he's not available, he can hook you up with a guided trip through PRO Outfitters.
If you get tired of fishing or want to try another activity, you can float the river, hike, bike along the back roads or along the beautiful recreation road, bird watch or soak up the sun and a good book. Just a short drive away is the Lewis & Clark Interpretive Center along the Lewis & Clark trail and the Charles M. Russell Museum in Great Falls. There's also the Montana Historical Society, Archie Bray Foundation and the Holter Art Gallery in Helena.
